Behringer makes a box with : a microphone, a mixer, a headphone and the usb sound card for .. 95€. It isn’t the best hardware .. but I’m impressed that a whole (tiny) studio can be purchased for a such low price. A good base to start up which can be upgraded piece by piece later.
I never test the Behringer UCA-202 usb sound card, but
according to Zog, the UCA-202 usb works fine under linux.

Our Autres(M)Ondes mobile studio integrates for a while a NAS server dedicated to rivendell mysql and files. The first steps to set up a such server are described into the Rivendell wiki page Setting up a dedicated Rivendell MySQL and audio store server.
