Trac for FreeCast | 27 November 2007

To make easier the FreeCast development, we’ve installed a Trac instance for FreeCast.

Trac is a software project management used by a lot of projects.

What are the changes for Freecast ?

Wiki

The Trac wiki will be the FreeCast Development Wiki. The Freecast User Wiki stays in place.

Tickets

The FreeCast Bugzilla issues have been migrated. The FreeCast issues are now managed by Trac.

Timeline

Now the FreeCast development progress can be easily followed via the FreeCast timeline page (or via the FreeCast timeline RSS feed).

FreeCast joins the other projects managed by the Tryphon Trac like AudioBank or JustRecord.

FreeCast start page fixed | 24 July 2007

Due to a php upgrade, the FreeCast start page was broken for few days. We fixed the php code this afternoon. We apology for this technical problem.

How to customize the FreeCast GUI ? | 5 November 2006

The FreeCast GUI used by network listeners can be graphically customized. In this way, deployers can integrate the FreeCast client with their graphic charter. The FreeCast client can become a natural prolongation of the broadcaster website.

French radio Galaxie FM 95.3 is testing FreeCast | 4 November 2006

The french radio Galaxie FM 95.3 is testing several peer-to-peer streaming solutions to improve its web broadcasting. Listeners can start the Galaxie FM live streaming with the three tested solutions : FreeCast, P2P Radio and Peercast.

At this time, about 300 FreeCast nodes have been started to listen the Galaxie FM streaming.

New FreeCast wiki | 22 October 2006

The FreeCast wiki has been deployed to replace the previous single and long wiki page. This wiki is available on http://wiki.tryphon.org/freecast and powered by DokuWiki.

Several new pages have been created to complete or re-organize the previous wiki page, like a first tutorial to start FreeCast audio network with oddcast or documentation about features present in the next FreeCast release.
